Thank you for taking the time to provide us with what you would like SKIBACS retirees chairperson to focus on.
Activities you would like to see during the ski season
  • More activities during the week at the lodge
  • Retiree small ski trips
There is a Wednesay morning adult ski lesson for skiing ability 5 and above at Snoqualmie, goes 9:30 to lunch. Lunch is a sack lunch (you provide) and in the Instructor lodge. Free skiing in the afternoon, would you be interested?Possibly
In the past, the retirees would volunteer to decorate for the Holiday Social. This year it will be Sunday Dec.1 from 5 to 7, setup at 4:30. Would you be interested in helping decorate for the Holiday SocialNo
As two thirds of the year there’s no skiing, it was suggested that we have other activities where members could meet up and enjoy each other’s company while having some fun. As we are retired, typically activities on the weekdays are better to avoid crowds but not exclusive to weekdays.
What activities interest you
  • Floating the Skagit river to eagle watch
  • Day Hikes
  • Bluegrass Picking
  • Other - add to the comments field
What can SKIBACS do to include the retirees in activitiesOut of town Dec 1, so can't help decorate. Ok decorating when I'm in town attending. Out of season activities could be Everett Aquasox baseball (inexpensive & easy park in/out). Mariners - suggest Wednesday afternoon games because easier to get in & out (still expensive and pain in the ass). Potentially ok w/other non ski events but suggest start w/ski 1st to see who shows, etc.
What would you like to see changed in SKIBACS for retireesI'm not a social media type BUT may be worth considering as a way to communicate and get to foster group identity & individualidentity within group?
Any other comments? Thanks Jeff and Happy Thanksgiving!
